Romans 8:28 is a verse we know by heart and yet often don’t fully understand its impact. My recent cancelled trip to Bangladesh has opened such unique opportunities for me to help and connect with people who are so near to me but because of my busy schedule would not have had the chance.
Once again I have witnessed God’s sovereignty at work. Because of this unexpected extended time in Peoria, I’ve had the privilege to teach at my church and walk several women through an in-depth study in the books of Titus and Colossians, in addition to having wonderful meetings with my pastor who has truly poured into me in this season. I feel greatly refreshed and have enjoyed the fellowship of my home church, City on a Hill. Such a time was greatly needed—I have been blessed to simply sit under godly teaching and rub shoulders with a congregation that both encourages and helps me to grow.
Knowing that I have been in so many different parts of the world where the supernatural is far more visible than in the West, a friend asked me this question: “Have you witnessed any miracles recently?” Although I have literally seen the crippled healed, the deaf hear, the blind see, the demonic oppressed freed, and the sick from a variety of illnesses healed all around the world, I had not recently witnessed a miracle and was sad because I felt he was disappointed…
